Integrated Management System

The Thiess Kentz Integrated Management System (IMS) has been designed, developed and implemented to meet ISO Quality, Environmental and (OHSAS) Health and Safety requirements.

In January 2006 the Thiess Kentz management system was certified to ISO 9001:2000, ISO 14001:2004 and OHSAS 18001:1999 by Lloyds Register of Quality Assurance (LRQA). Thiess Kentz is the first company in Australia to successfully achieve certification to the three standards by LRQA.

The aim of the IMS is to ensure that all contractual and specification requirements are met for projects executed by Thiess Kentz and to achieve a reliable and cost effective system of management concerning all activities. The IMS is applicable to all projects executed by Thiess Kentz and it covers activities such as procurement, design management, project management, construction management including installation, testing and commissioning.

The Thiess Kentz management team have defined quality, health and safety and environmental objectives for the company. These objectives are reviewed every six months to continually improve the effectiveness of the IMS.

The system is supported by QA and HSE departments in Eastern and Western Australia and the department managers report directly back to the General Manager on all Quality, Health, Safety and Environmental matters. Each project has dedicated QA and HSE representatives to insure the system is implemented as designed in order to meet our customer requirements.
